implementation of factor rating

good night toward morning. in this chance, before being sleeping beauty i want to share implementation of factor rating. when i was confused to choose cost house where i will live for next year. so, i just try this method to choose what cost house is good

the first step, make an alternative for house
1. puri indah
2. wisma cendekia
3. new cos (i am forget what that's name)

second step, specify the factor and give weight for each factor. give a the highest weight for the most important factor and it is objective. this is my perception, to give the highest weight on spacious room, because i really need a very big room.
1. spacious room           =40%
2. price                          =30%
3. Location near campus =30%
*the weight must be in percent

the next step, write a price, and give your rating about spacious room and loacation near campus. i used 1-4 for scale. it means
1= very bad
2= bad
3= good
4= very good

1. score for puri indah is the highest. because, it offers the cheapest. so we give 10
2. score for wisma cendekia = puri indah's price/wisma cendekia's price*10
                                           = 12140000/13460000*10
                                           = 9,01931649
3. normalization = score * weight = 9,01931649 * 30% = 2,705794948
 4. score for new cost house = puri indah's price/new cost house's price*10
                                            = 12140000/12200000*10
                                           = 9,95082
5. normalization = score * weight = 9,95082 * 30% = 2,9852459

Spacious room
1.  score for wisma cendekia is the highest. because, it has the biggest room
2. score for puri indah = puri indah/wisma cendekia*10
                                           = 2/4*10
                                           = 5
3. normalization = score * weight = 5 * 40% = 2
 4. score for new cost house =new cost house/wisma cendekia*10
                                           = 1/4*10
                                           = 2,5
5. normalization = score * weight = 2,5 * 40% = 1

Location near campus
1.  score for puri indah is the highest. because, the nearest location from campus between the other   alternative
2. score for wisma cendekia = puri indah/wisma cendekia*10
                                           = 1/4*10
                                           = 2,5
3. normalization = score * weight = 2,5 * 30% = 0,75
 4. score for new cost house =new cost house/wisma cendekia*10
                                           = 2/4*10
                                           = 5
5. normalization = score * weight = 2,5 * 30% = 1,5

 the last step, sum up all score for each alternative. and the highest score is 8 and it's for puri indah. so, according to this score, the best cost house is puri indah. you can try this method for whom confused about to choose a cost house
